Following the successful preview evening, we have been exhibiting and selling David's work our Newport office since February. It provides an opportunity for clients and the local community to browse and purchase original artwork at an affordable price for their home.

Here is a little more background about David.

I was born in the Staffordshire Moorlands very close to the Peak District, where the local features are the Roaches.

Following a brief spell in Advertising, I trained as an Art ,teacher completing a PGCE at Liverpool.

My professional career took place in St Helens then Shropshire where I completed a further thirty years as a teacher.

Since my retirement, I have gradually started to produce more of my own work.

I was first introduced to Lino printing whilst at school and continued to use it in my teaching. My enthusiasm for this medium was enhanced further when I attended a course with the artist Ian Phillips.

Initially, I started to produce Lino prints as a record of a cycle tour from St Malo to Nice. Subsequently my subject matter has been the landscapes in and around Shropshire and latterly from some seascapes.

Since retiring I have exhibited my work at the following venues.

Edgmond Village Hall a joint exhibition with Artist Roger Keeling.

Edgmond Village Hall a solo show of Lino Prints.

The Artists Gallery Open Art Exhibition Ludlow.

Nick Tarts Estate Agency.
